WOW this was a really hard one to choose a side on. =/ I can't help but think of my loved ones in this situation. Not that we really have a choice, but thinking about it makes you look to the future. I have been through this before with loved ones and it is heartbreaking.
This really is a legitimate question that directly affects a significant amount of people. It's certainly easy to sit here as a 30 year and take this side but would likely be quite different if I was twenty years older with the increased odds of developing this illness. Alzheimers is heartbreaking; it's extremely difficult to watch someone you love slowly slip away until there's little left. Regardless, for the time being I'd prefer to go out with my mind in tact; reminiscing on the memories made along the way.
If the "Progressives" here hate the ad then it must be a good one. Romney is just another Progressive traitor and while I don't find Santorum a particularly inspiring candidate, he is infinitely better than Romney. Time to take out the "Progressive" trash.
This is nothing more than the pot calling the kettle black. Every politician is guilty at some point or another of "mud-slinging". It is an unfortunate by-product of campaigning for political office. As far as I am concerned they can all continue slinging the proverbial mud if they like as long as it doesn't take the nasty turn toward personal issues. A person's personal life is just that. Personal. If it does not in any way impede their ability to execute their office in an effective manner then it's none of our business. That is actually what I would consider to be a form of "mud-slinging". If you attack a person's voting record or stance on abortion that is simply arguing your opinion. If you suggest that a candidate wished to have an open marriage then that to me is actually mud-slinging. Thankfully none of the candidates have done so... ...so far. So for Santorum's side to suggest that Romney has engaged in some form of "mud-slinging" is utterly ridiculous. Romney's side has only engaged in arguments and debates over certain beliefs and the so-called "records" of Rick Santorum. In America we call this campaigning. This ad is laughable at best and ridiculous at its worst.
All about revenue baby! I drive through these crap towns every day. They are not concerned about safety. I was pulled over twice in two weeks in both towns and was not speeding either time! They are truly getting revenue for the towns. I know a cop that sits at the beginning of the town where i work and he sits there his entire shift. Tell me thats for safety?! Think not...
Bring on the revolution. The "Progressives" have worked hard to marginalize the Constitution. They have instituted programs, agencies, and legislation over the years that are in direct conflict with freedom and liberty. The DHS and TSA are some of the more recent examples of the enemy(domestic) among us, and yes, I am fully aware they were established under G.W. Bush.
I'll be the first to admit I think it's ridiculous when doctors refuse to prescribe birth control to their patients for religious reasons which is something I have experienced personally with my wife. I think it's particularly ridiculous when you consider the constantly growing number of welfare babies that continue to follow in their parents footsteps.
Regardless of what I think is ridiculous we had a wonderful freedom; choice! We opted to go to a different doctor who didn't have this religious restriction. Now due to Obamacare our choices are dwindling; the insurance plan I actually liked has transformed into a monster that doesn't kick in until I hit a $3,000 deductable and those who previously opted out of coverage will no longer have that choice. This administration needs to be stopped.
As proposterous as I think it is to refuse to prescribe birth control I do recognize that is their right and if their religion is important enough to lose patients then I in a small way applaud them for that. This rule is disgusting and certainly does impede with the freedom of religion. What's next, drones spying on Americans? Forced inoculations?
Thanks for your insight Rick. (Hope your doing well!) Before switching to Verizon we too had Att and we started having a lot of issues towards the end but overall I can't say Verizon has been overwhelmingly better for us. For starters we were supposed to be in a 3g (now 4g as well) coverage area but we aren't. We're in some kind of Verizon black hole of death. We had to buy a network extender to make our phones work at our house and even throughout the day we still get numerous dropped calls.
In all likelihood we'll probably stay with Verizon (They offer a company discount) but I am very agitated with the dropped Nexus status.
Just wanted you to know Kaz that I didn't pick the opposite side just because you picked the other. The truth of the matter is that this happens with most contracts. That's why they get away with it as often as they do. They figure by the time the contract has expired that you'll have conveniently forgotten their inept abilities to please their own customers and continue to stay with them because it would be less of a hassle. I'm not bad mouthing AT&T, but honestly I have had much better customer service and reception from Verizon ever since I switched over. They simply have a better coverage area across the United States than any other carrier I have ever tried. I'm not telling you to stay with Verizon, but I do believe you'd be better off sticking with them solely because their main competitor really can't compete. My mom and dad had Dish Network for the longest time, but when they chose not to carry the networks that covered the Dallas Maverick games they made the choice to go with DirectTV instead. They love the fact they can watch the games now, but they liked the setup and service that Dish always provided. Go with your gut I guess.
