Sorry Rick, I was outside all day erecting a massive 22 ft cell phone tower and didn't have any time to get on the computer. I will not be voting for either of these candidates and when I get home from work I'll elaborate much further.
I have to say that this particular race just thrills me no matter which one wins their party's nomination. Each disturbs me deeply, but they also reaffirm my belief that Obama will be our President for another four years. Santorum is just too right-wing. He may put up a good fight, but it's Romney's moderate beliefs that will win him this nomination. On the flip-side it is also his inability to connect with every day normal "Joes" that will ultimately lose him the Presidency. What Republicans needed this election was a moderate candidate that could connect with both his base as well as those who were either undecided or democrats dissatisfied with Obama's performance. Unfortunately neither Romney nor Santorum are able to do so. Tell me what you think. If you have any predictions yourself then let me know.
Kaz, I don't quite get what you're trying to say here. You sound like you believe in a woman's choice, but at the same time you seem to be condemning it as well by arguing against Obama's health care. It was my understanding that the entire issue was that organizations regardless of their faith would have to offer insurance that covered contraceptive use. You seemed a little all over the place. What exactly is your position? I'm curious.
I believe a person has the right to choose contraceptives if they so desire. It's not my right to say that they shouldn't have it, and neither should any religion or organization. The Constitution not only guaranteed freedom of religion, but freedom from religion as well. If a person's faith is in direct contradiction with this type of choice it is still the person's decision whether or not to use it. Not the church. Not the religion. Not the followers. It is the sole decision of the person involved. That is freedom.
Just wanted to say that I agree whole-heartedly with you. While it is unfortunate the timing of the diabetes campaign it doesn't take away from the fact that it is a disease nonetheless. Nobody wants to have diabetes. True that the foods she prepares should be eaten in moderation, but we are after all just human. I can't say she didn't deserve some criticism, but some have been particularly scathing in their critiques. It's just unfortunate.
This is just not that tough a call for me. There's no way I'd want to spend another minute on this Earth if it meant not being able to remember a loved one, perform a simple task, or recall my own name. That's just not living to me. Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate the life I've been given, but honestly what kind of life would it be without your mind intact?
All I have to say on this matter is that I would rather endure a 16 hour insurance seminar than a single minute of this mindless and narcissistic waste of time.
It's called the dumbing down of America. It is what all the "reality" shows do. I lose brian uh, I mean brain cells just talking about this crap. See what I maen, er, mean?
As a responsible father I will stop at nothing to keep my daughter away from disgusting, fake, filth like Jersey Shore.
Alyssa Milano's Evolution: Jersey Shore from Alyssa Milano
It's difficult to imagine the big three search engines joining forces and not coming out on top. I guess the better question would be, why didn't they just embrace what was already there? Was it a lack of control or influence over the guidelines and structure?
Wow, very tough! I want to live a long life but i want to remember my life. I wouldnt want my family and kids to see me that way. I guess it would also depend on the level of dementia.
Heard an interesting comment on the radio the other day.
The caller who was sick and tired of the constantly growing number of leaches in our society said,(based on my memory) "It's funny when you think about it. In our public schools they layout strict guidelines on what our children can bring for lunch yet we can't tell the those on ebt what they can purchase."
This is a growing problem as the latest numbers I've heard are that in Tennessee there has been a 40% rise in those collecting welfare; it's now up to one out of every five people is stealing from productive citizens to load there buggies full of unhealthy &@$ (That's 20% for you ebt recipients.)
