Doing a lot of Atlanta freeway driving, I've seen many near-miss accidents because the driver at fault did not use his/her indicator. My husband, Henry, has gotten TWO tickets for not using his, and he agrees that he deserved them!
Why? What do you base your opinion on? Or are you the typical liberal who just hates her because its the thing to do. I would really love to hear your reasons.
My husband took an early retirement from his union after 35 years of loyalty and they thanked him by cheating him out of half of what he was supposed to get. Our medical coverage was so bad after retirement that we finally canceled it after my husband had to go back to work. ( We couldn't get by on half of the retirement.) People have tried to unseat the union president we are tied to but every time someone steps up bad things start happening to them. The last guy saw himself and his wife get fired from their jobs. Then they started seeing a car parked across the street watching them. Then they were followed to the grocery store, church, and everywhere they went. Then thugs started knocking on their door and making threats. He finally had to back down because his family was in shambles. That's the same thing that's happened for the entire 35 years my husband was in that union. When the union president retired he eased his son into the job. They live a life of luxury while the workers are seeing their benefits deteriorate. I'll take the corporations any day over unions.
Florida without Tebow will bring them back down to a normal level. That guy did it all and I loved him and hated him at the same time. I think we may actually have the better team this year because the down side of having a quarterback like Tebow is that you have to do a lot of restructuring unless you find another Superman. Go Vols! Gator done!
Glad you can admit when you're wrong, Mr Kazinec. That's the sign of a real grown up man! My husband doesn't hear me half the time but I have come to understand that it's not because he doesn't care, it's that he is easily distracted. My dog, on the other hand, is a great listener! He worships me and looks at me like I'm God. Then, when my husband get's home, he worships him. That's fine with me because I can only take so much hero worship in a day. It's also good because I too am easily distracted and don't always listen to him. Having a small dog in the house has been good for both of us. It kind of evens out our issue of not listening to each other because we know the dog will be there to hear our problems...
If waterboarding and other methods save American lives then I say do it. You can't win the war on terror by being polite and well mannered at all times. We are tying the hands of our soldiers and are heading in the direction of blindfolding them too. I agree that sometimes it goes across the line and that should not be allowed but the line is getting moved too far to the left in my opinion. War is not a $&!*$@?$ party. We need to either get serious and do whatever it takes, or bring all our soldiers home to protect our homeland. Since I don't think the war on terror will ever be won (based on the last 9 years) I vote for bringing them all home to protect us.
I agree with Olivia that the states need to run themselves the way the constitution intended. Not doing that has led to a small group of people in Washington restructuring our country and saddling us, our children, and our grandchildren with the kind of debt that can never be paid. I think that is really the issue here and probably why Washington is reacting the way they are. Power to the people, not the government. It's our country and we need to take it back before it's too late.
I'm basing my opinion on something I heard yesterday but haven't confirmed yet. I heard that this oil platform did not have the safety valve that it was supposed to have. I also think the timing was more than a little strange. I didn't know about the swat teams and that makes me wonder even more.
I'm glad to know you have your eyes open. There are many liberals out there who cling to Obama as a savior and don't even attempt to follow what's going on. I'm sure you encounter those kind of liberals every day. There are also conservatives who do the same thing. We all need to pay attention to everything that's going on and I'm glad you do even though we disagree a lot. I think you would have to admit that you know liberals and conservatives who act like they have a mental disorder because they've stopped thinking for themselves and blindly follow people without even knowing what they really stand for. I've done it myself when I was younger. I hope more people will set a goal of becoming informed before they go to the ballot box. Failing to do that is insane.
I have to disagree about red light cameras. When they installed them in Sacramento people actually stopped running red lights and it became safer for all of us. Prior to that you would often have to sit through a green light because so many people ran the red. I know one girl who got two red light tickets on the same day and she deserved both of them. She thought it was unfair but admitted that she ran the light both times. On the other hand, big brother is watching us in so many ways that I wouldn't be surprised if these cameras are watching us to.
