My husband and I have already begun to experience the obtrusiveness of what they are doing with this bill. He MUST take a health survey and be "graded" by Aetna who happens to be his health insurance carrier through his job. This will go in his permanent file. If he does not take this survey he will be "fined" $250.00 per month until he does. They have nurses call us at home to discuss our meds and health in general. They are persistent and pressure us to call our doctor and tell him every time we take a vitamin or anything like that. They are worse than telemarketers. They even called to urge us to get our flu shot. This is only the beginning. You should be very afraid. I am. In fact I'm so concerned that I am in Washington DC right now to try to urge representatives to vote against it.

Not sure what this bill is about? Well if you have about a week of free time you can EASILY read the bill at the following link. Oh, one thing, you might need an attorney and access to multiple bills/laws that have passed in years prior in order to piece everything together. Good luck.

I just heard a black Fox News contributor (very liberal) comment this morning that the only reason republicans won the two elections that were just held were because blacks just weren't interested enough to go out and vote like they were when Obama was running. I think he's right and I think Rush could be right about Colin Powell. Who cares why he threw his support to Obama? He had every right to do what he did. A lot of black people went out and voted (for the first time) in the presidential election simply because a black man was running for office. Is this any better than all the racist white people down in Alabama who rabidly cheer for their black football team but think that blacks are second class citizens in their everyday life? That is stupid and ignorant and so is voting by race but it happens. Racism exists on all sides.

Limbaugh has expressed a number of controversial racial ideas in the past. For example, he suggested that Gen. Colin Powell supported Barack Obama's presidential candidacy simply because he was black, and he also stated that the media wants black quarterbacks to do well and that Donovan McNabb doesn't deserve much of the credit he has received for the Eagles' success.

These are just some of the statements, Limbaugh has made. He may not come out directly saying he hates black people but he definitely hints that undertone.

While I agree with a majority of what you said I don't agree with the assertion that Rush is a racist. I have a hard time concluding racism with the bloods and crips analogy offered by Rush. For kicks and giggles I wiki'd Bloods and Crips and while both gangs primarily consist of African American males they also welcome other races and sexes.
(Read this link and you might understand Rush's comment and love for foot ball a bit more.)

Fergi, J-lo, and Jayz are all professional team owners. I LOVE the hypocrisy.

Dollyfan, you are right. We all have the power to boycott those who we disagree with, aside from voting it's the most powerful thing we can do besides actively campaigning against a person, company, or group. If you don't like Rush, don't watch the games, don't purchase the merchandise.
I love how everyone from Jesse Jackson to Al Sharpton to members of congress polluted the airwaves with their comments when the only comments that deserved any bearing were those of the players and personel associated with the Rams and yet I didn't hear them because of the sideshow of the rest of the media.

Again, we live in a free country. If someone who makes racist comments wants to purchase a football team, who are we to stop him. If he owned it, I wouldn't play for his team. I wouldn't watch his team. I wouldn't purchase any of his teams memorabilia. I would be boycotting his "company" and wouldn't allow him to have any of my money. Of course, that's the only reason you would want to be a team owner. In a free country, he has the right to own a team and we have a right to boycott.

Of course, I don't understand why a man who makes comments about blacks and who says, "The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons." would be interested.

Also, don't misunderstand. I realize there is a difference between a free country and a country who treats all of it's citizens equally. America is a free country that does not treat all of it's citizens equally. It's just that this issue only involves one of these, so that is why I can support Rush's right to own, even though I can't stand him personally. It's because I'm one who DOES believe our country shouldn'y just be about freedom but should also include equal rights for all!
