I couldnt watch 5 seconds of this show and dont see how anyone could possibly find it enjoyable. Its pretty pathetic. I think people need to find more productive things to do with there time. I can tell you my daughter wont be watching this crap!
I meant to say something earlier about your last comments on this particular reply about Obama. While I appreciate your right to choose someone else other than Obama the simple fact is that he has done a decent job so far. I like him very much and will continue to support him in the coming years. I'm very proud to call him my American President.
Most people are religious and as long as they are not forcing their religion on me I am fine with that. I am not absolutely set on Santorum but he is far better than "progressive" Romney. I do not see Santorum imposing his religion on me.
I have a problem with many of the 4th Amendment violations of the Patriot Act. Some of its provisions made sense but I am never for the expansion of the Federal government. If there is something can be abused government will be sure to do it almost every time. I can halfway understand why Santorum voted for the Patriot Act although I may not completely agree with it.
A person should never have to switch jobs or their religion either way. That's just not the right thing to force your parishioners or employees to do. Especially having to change a job in the current economy. The Catholic view on contrapceptives is just outdated. This is 2012, not 1912.
As far as the hypocrisy of many churches go please don't get me started. Federal money isn't allocated for specific reasons unless mandated by that particular institution for the most part, or unless agreed upon by the organization. However, one does not necessarily need to bite the hand that feeds them either. The government shouldn't expect compromise, the employees and patrons should. What is at the heart of this matter I believe is equality and coverage for all. Regardless of faith. That's what universal healthcare means. At least to me it does.
From what I understand we might be witnessing something very rare as we approach the convention with no delegate winner. Should make for an interesting political season nonetheless.
That would be my only reservation to voting for Ron Paul as a third party candidate with the outcome likely pulling the votes from the republican and handing the election to Obama.
What you're referring to is the hypocrisy of the church which is one of things that has driven me further away from religion. While I see your point regarding taking money from the government I don't necessarily agree. Reason being, the money wasn't given with strings attached. As an example, a lot of federal funding is given to the states with conditions required; example: you must do this with this education or welfare program. These types of conditions were not required (guessing) prior to the churches receiving funding.
I do think it's a stretch to say they would have to change religions to get birth control though. They simply would have to change professions.

I just really wish I had a better choice period.

But I would give it some serious thought.
