This is more of a guess on my part. Seeing how I was horrible at Spanish in Jr. High and I'm just beginning to learn php I'm really hoping it's easier for me to learn than Spanish was. (Well technically I didn't learn Spanish.)
My mom had me natural. With my brothers and sister she was given an epidural. My mom had very long labors with all of us except the youngest. Really it's just up to the mother. I've never known it to harm the child, so it's not like you're endangering the child if you have it done. Unless I'm unaware of something.
I believe in being behind our armed forces 100%, but that does not mean allowing them to do whatever they want just because others saw off heads, torture, and mutilate. You cross that line and there is no going back. I believe in fighting for a cause, fighting for freedom, but to lower ourselves to their level only makes us just as bad as them. We are supposed to be the shining example of what a nation should be. When you allow your men and women of the armed forces to commit these types of atrocities you make it okay for other nations. We are not animals! And shame on both of you for such a flagrant disregard for human decency. There is NEVER an excuse for barbarianism. Not to mention what these types of actions do to our men and women. It has long lasting devastating effects that rarely can be reversed. We should NEVER sacrifice the minds and mental stability of our soldiers just because you think we're a little too soft!!! Put in a few years of service before you think you know anything at all about what it means to serve this country and make the kind of sacrifices our soldiers make every day! We ask so much of them already. I'd rather die than ask our courageous men and women in uniform to commit these kinds of acts. America has withstood every attack on it's people since the beginning of our great nation, and we WILL do what is necessary to keep it safe, but we should never resort to common street thug activities just because the enemy feels it is all right! As human beings, and especially as Americans we have a deeper responsibility to our citizens, our neighbors, and ourselves!!
I got tired of my son breaking curfew so I painted a giant sign that read, "Ben, I said be home by 12:00" and then strung it up in front of the house. My son was so mad because we lived on a busy street and everyone saw it. He wasn't late again for a long time.
I agree with Olivia 100%. I couldn't say it any better. I'm pretty sure these murderers who use innocent women and children to do their dirty work are laughing at how we fight our wars. Does anyone really believe that a slap on the wrist is going to be effective against these people. We have too much of that in our judicial system now which explains the crime rates. Our men in uniform are doing their job to PROTECT US! They shouldn't have to worry about being court martialed for doing the job they signed up for.
I had all my kids the natural route but that's because I was more afraid of needles than pain. (I also had very short labors..) After going through months of IV antibiotics to treat an infection I no longer fear needles and would say, "bring on the epidural!
I can't really respond until you explain your comment in more detail so I know what you're talking about. I don't know who started this rivalry but I think a lot of people believe that liberalism is a mental disorder. They probably have drawn this conclusion from watching people like Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and many others who are saying and doing things that are bizarre. The arrogance in DC is at an all time high and I experienced it first hand when I went there last year. I only encountered one representative who would even talk to me. I don't know which party the people I attempted to speak to are affiliated with because my attempts at conversation were ignored. They treated me like a mosquito that they'd like to swat and be rid of. They work for us but they don't act like it. I can see where some people would draw that conclusion but I think most of our representatives are in perfect mental health but are drunk on power and completely out of touch with the people they are supposed to be serving.
Although most people remember the Civil War being fought over slavery, it really was about states' rights. The issue of slavery is what most people remember. And when speaking of the bad 'ole meanies in the South who had slaves, there were plenty of Yankees who had them, also. Thomas Jefferson for one.
Another point: These slaves were sold by their own people in Africa. While I am against slavery of any kind, it is unfortuantely still taking place in the world. Let's not single out the South when the mention of slavery is brought up.
Since I was forced to have a 'natural' childbirth with my first child, due to complications, I requested an epidural with my second child two weeks before I went into labor! :)
I doubt he will steal again! I remember taking a candy bar from a store when I was young (35, if I remember correctly! :) Just kidding). My mother made me go back into the store, return the candy and apologize to the store owner. Many other customers witnessed my humiliation. I never did it again!
I am behind our soldiers 100%, no matter what they do.
We are in a war, and the other side certainly doesn't show any restraint with a code of ethics. They saw off heads, torture, and mutilate our men and even Americans civilians. We need to fight back any way possible. We're too soft in this country. I say get the job done!
