Romney Will Pull Off a Major Upset

Rivalry Side B | Politics | Elections

It has become pretty apparent that Mitt Romney will be the GOP’s candidate to run against President Obama later this year but does the Republican Party stand any chance of beating the incumbent President? Are they being led to slaughter?

I've found myself asking would I be more enthused about Romney if he picked a great Vice President and frankly I can't see myself getting excited about this guy. Who knows, things change but as of right now I can't think of a situation that leads me to excitement about this candidate.

Sorry for my absence: I've been working on a Facebook Application for JealousBrother that I will likely be done with today.

I mention this because the next item I will be addressing after it's completion is email verification for new accounts. I already have it about 90% ready to implement so it won't be long before any new accounts require the verification.

Just so you know I realize you can't completely stop the fraudulent voting. Thank you for the efforts you've made. I appreciate it, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD MAN!!! I hope everything is well and have a great day.

This is solely for you Rob, TNinfidel, MadRussian, Lib Hunter, or whatever other screen name you are still using to log in under. It's one thing for you to disagree with me. That's fine. I have no problem with that. However, the whole -/+ votes thing is getting old. It's just a little petty. The only reason I did it to you was to make a point to the website's owner/administrator. Do me a favor. Stop being so childish about this matter. If you want to vote against me in the future please use just the one screen name (TNinfidel), and not all of your other aliases. Since speaking with Kaz I have not voted against you with any other screen name other than Rick, because it is the fair and adult way to behave. I would appreciate the same courtesy from you if that is possible. Do me another favor as well. Do not feign ignorance over this matter, because we both know the mistake you made in commenting back to me on this very rivalry under a different screen name. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

If Obama is re-elected there will be serious trouble.
LIBERAL - 5/7/12 @ 8:15 PM: Rival | Side A

There won't be any more trouble than when Bush was re-elected. Nearly half the country will be upset over the loss and Obama will be President another term. Said and done. The only thing time will tell is that he was an above average President that wished for a better America. You disagree with his policies, and you have every right. Just like I have every right to believe in them, and that they will eventually work for the better. Your insinuation that there will be serious trouble is just childish and sour-grapes for what I believe is the eventual outcome... ...a second term. ;-)

You are wrong. I would be looking for another country to flee too if I were a "progressive". We have had enough of the infringements on our freedom and liberty.

Childish huh? That's what I'd call your progressive utopian fantasies.
LIBERAL - 5/7/12 @ 10:39 PM: Rival | Side A

First of all I am neither right or wrong. I have very strong beliefs that happen to contradict your own. That's the great thing about America. I have the right to disagree with you. If you really dislike the way this country is ran, then I would suggest you start packing your bags. It's absolutely hilarious to me to hear people say how much they love America, but clearly can't stand Americans. If you think it so awful there are plenty of other countries in the world. So, pick one please. In the meantime I would just like to point out that the word "too" means also. Try using your words in the context in which they were meant to be used.

I also find it a little funny that you speak of the word "progressive" as if it were meant to be used as something ugly or foul. How about this? Look the word up in the dictionary. You might be pleasantly surprised. A dictionary by the way is a reference book that defines the meanings of words. A book can be found in a library. Oh, heck, just try Google. I apologize if any of the words I've used are too big to understand. See, that's how the word "too" is supposed to be used.

"Progressives" ARE ugly and foul. You do not have the right to piss on the Constitution and that is what makes "progressives" not welcome.

Wow, Rick the @$#@ pick out a typo if you are losing the argument. Madrussian is right. You progressives are ugly and foul. I know what the word means and you "progressives" are anything but. You are also traitors.

I was trying to do you a favor. If you wish to sound like you literally came down off the mountainside that's your prerogative. Progressives move this country forward. They have done so since the beginning of this great nation, and will continue to do so long after we are gone. I suggest you both get over it. I prefer to look forward, not backward. Do as you must. I don't really care. I just like getting your goat. Looks like it worked MadRussian... ...I mean TNinfidel. Whichever you want me to call you.
TNinfidel - 5/7/12 @ 11:32 PM: Ally | Neutral

LOL. No, they do not move anything forward. You obviously do not understand what progressivism is. All you can do with your pompous gay ass is point out typos. That just proves how far up you ass your head resides.

I don't think the Russian would appreciate you minimizing her thoughts either. But hey, you are the ?#&*$ here.

By the way, less government is moving forward. More government, more corruption.
LIBERAL - 5/7/12 @ 11:49 PM: Rival | Side A

Well, it's clear that I will have to do all of the work for you. So, here we go...

Progressive:adjective
1.
favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are, especially in political matters:

I'm not sure what school you went to, or for that matter how far you PROGRESSED, but I would either write a very scathing letter to the Board of Education or demand your money back. There are clear signs of failure. Hope it wasn't your fault.

As far as less or more government is concerned I have made no mention of this matter. You have simply assumed that you know my position. Which you do not. So, do you care to guess whether you were correct in your assumption? The answer is... ...you are incorrect. I believe in less government, but what government remains must be steadfast and resolute in their decisions. Otherwise we have created a government that does not work. For futher lessons or assistance please try these references:

United States Constitution
Declaration of Independence
Federalist Papers
or just skip to Government for Dummies

No need to thank me. You're quite welcome. Let me know if you need anything else.

There you go again Ricky, proving that "progressives" are actually regressive.

Anyone can take a look on JB and see that you are for more government not less. So, go ahead and spout off all the BS you want; you are easily seen though.

I'll leave you with a good quote from a "non-progressive".

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin
LIBERAL - 5/8/12 @ 7:34 PM: Rival | Side A

The name is Rick, hence no "y" at the end of my screenname. If you intend to address me, then do so wisely, or is that too much to ask from you. Probably so.

If you have read any of my postings on JB then you would have easily ascertained my view on government. I suggest you read further. Assuming of course that you can read. All evidence to the contrary thus far, but I do like to gamble. You may continue to spout off as much as you like too, but it proves next to nothing where your views or intelligence are concerned.

I don't need to borrow quotes from past fore-fathers in order to justify my position or sound intelligent. I just am. If that's so hard for you to deal with then just move on. Otherwise you will just have to listen to it any time post something ridiculous. As often as you do post something ridiculous you should be used to this by now.

Here's a quote: "There will always be those that oppose progress. Those that will use ignorance as a weapon to deter the progress of others."

Guess who said that. I did.

Oh yea, forgot I need to correct you punctuation. You seem to enjoy it so much.

Your last sentence should read, "Guess who said that? I did." Seems you missed the question mark. No need to thank me. That was a freebie.

Now, that time I made a mistake. I typed "is" instead of it. See, this is called accountability for your own mistakes. I can do that. Don't worry though. I'm sure someone will show you some day. At least when I type I can use the word in the correct context. For that matter, at least I can correctly spell them as well.

LOL@TNinfidel. I just realized you used the term "pseudo-intellectualism". More surprising was the fact that you spelled it correctly.
