Per my 1st post. I work in a jail, and I can tell you 1st hand that theft is on the rise. Particularly at Christmas time. Shoplifing=theft 50-500 with a min. bond of $500. Good way to spoil the holidays.

I was against #1 so I'm also against #2. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE know what they are doing (this has never been done before),or what the results will be (so far the results are ZERO. It's the blind leading the stupid !

I once saw a documentary on sustainable foresty. Ikea's lumber has the stamp of approval from the sustainable foresty org.

I vote for Wal-mart,eventho there is a Target nearby. W's prices are overall cheaper. It's open 24 hr. I like to shop in the wee hours when the crowds are gone. I know the door-greeters and they know me. The nite-stockers are polite and helpful. It's Wal-mart for me.

I agree with Cutie. Get an animal from a shelter. They probably have had a home before and want to be at a home again. I'm afraid some pet stores might unknowingly get their animals from an breeding farm where conditions are sometimes bad and it is a business for profit.
