Here are more views on Target and Walmart.
www.vivelecanada.ca/article/172136191-target-eyes-hbc

We don't have Target in Ontario. We have Zellers. I do shopping at both Zellers and Walmart. They both have things that i like, or one will be out of something that the other has. And when one store has a sale, the other is not far behind, so i get the best prices from both places.

I vote for Wal-mart,eventho there is a Target nearby. W's prices are overall cheaper. It's open 24 hr. I like to shop in the wee hours when the crowds are gone. I know the door-greeters and they know me. The nite-stockers are polite and helpful. It's Wal-mart for me.

Well, i am going out on a limb here, but what the hell.... I can buy ammo, outdoor supplies, and the right kind of oil for my car. I put on my grumpy face, walk in, buy the cheap crap, and leave.Well, that is unless you are in madisonville, tn. You put on your grumpy face, walk in, buy the cheap crap, and wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, finally get checked out, then you leave.:)

I had to go with Wally World cause I work there, I know not a great reason to go with them but I've been in Target like twice and I wasnt that impressed

I'm glad to see Wal-Mart is getting some support, it's been a bit one sided. I work in Wal-Marts and Targets as a vendor and I have say I do prefer Target but Wal-Mart usually has better prices.

Perhaps a bit more pricey than Walmart, but the wares are classier and so is the management. Staff are treated as real people with needs and not "big box serfs." I would never go to Walmart, no matter how broke I am. I would see third world children manufacturing things that middle aged desperate underemployed people sell.

This is a hard one, well, maybe not. There is still the part of me that remembers the good ol' days. That is, refering to something like: "sir, how are you today?" You know, basic customer service. It is pretty bad when you have to say hi to the door greeter first! Hell, only when I am lucky, do I get a response to that!:)

Target, if you are listening, please come to my town. Wal mart needs some competition here. The only one there who ever seems happy to see me is the greeter and sometimes they don't look too thrilled either.

Reason why I choose Walmart is the fact that I do not like their business practices. But, if you happen to watch the South Park episode that features Walmart you will understand why I choose Walmart.

I think thats because people look at Wal-Mart as a necessity based on options and not somewhere they enjoy going.

I love Target! I wish we had one in my town. My husband is probably happy that we don't because I would be in there all the time.
