You obviously feel very strongly about your opinion and I can't really match your enthusiasm because my opinion is rooted in hundreds of years of actions. For someone who is black, this is just business as usual - November 8th 2008 was the shocker. I don't agree with everything President Obama does/says, but to criticize him for lying with a straight face after 8 years of Bush is hilarious.
If life was fair, President (you keep leaving that part off) Obama would be judged based on what condition the country was in when he took over compared with the condition after his term. However, we all know, whether we want to admit it or not, that will not be the case. He is judged on the decisions he has made in a tough situation which some people call socialism. Do people really think we are close to socialism? Again, hilarious.
If I find hair in my food I just pick it out and keep eating. It would take too long to send it back and get more and when I'm hungry, I'm hungry! Besides, I'd be more worried about somebody spitting in it when I sent it back.
Dynamite couldn't blast me out of east TN. I love it here! We had to move once because of a job loss related to a bad economy but I wouldn't do it by choice. Jobs come and go but your family will always be there for you. At least most families will! I love having all of my kids close by. I consider myself very lucky to have such great kids who found spouses (and significant other)that are so easy to love and fun to be around. I wouldn't trade that for all the money in the world.
John and I are considered poverty level but we always have to pay more taxes at tax time. In the 35 years we've been married we have only gotten money back two times. This year will be worse because of the extra money that was not withheld this year. (Thanks for nothing Obama!) I think we need the fair tax where we all pay as we go and are taxed based on what we spend. That way, instead of hiring 16,000 new IRS agents to make sure we all buy health insurance or climb on the govt gravy train, we would only need a handful.
It doesn't matter what color his skin is. He is a radical who is doing radical things to this country and the majority of people are beginning to rise up and say ENOUGH! You will blame his unpopularity on his race when in reality people are saying they don't like his actions. I detest Nancy Pelosi and lay much of the blame on her, Bush, Barney Frank, and a long list of other WHITE people. Obama is going to lose in the next election but it will have nothing to do with his race. He is like a runaway train that will eventually derail because he's out of control along with the rest of them. He lies about everything and does it with a straight face. I want a leader I can really believe in. I want an honest leader who stands by the constitution, not destroys it. We need someone who will bring back the idea of personal responsibility, accountability, and integrity.
Most kids who don't have to at least help with college tuition go there to party. You appreciate what you work for. Now the government will be taking over college lending so they will have a say in what you study and where you study. And when you graduate, after putting yourself in massive debt, where will the jobs be? The people who provide the jobs are leaving the country to avoid oppressive taxation. You can always work for the government which, I believe, was their plan all along. Good luck!
I believe the option to make it work for you is long gone. (Check out the new taxes coming to investment plans.) I don't want to invest money just to see the government take it from me and give it to those who choose to live off of other people. No, I would build a cabin in the middle of nowhere, stock it with enough food and other supplies to last for years. Then I would buy a bunch of ammo so I could protect myself when things fall apart. That way we could stop paying taxes to our new socialist country. I would help my kids do the same.I just read through the list of increased taxes from the health care reform bill and it looks like we're really sticking it to the only people I enjoy helping with my tax dollars. The elderly. The wealthy are also getting it put to them and I can see them packing right now and taking their money and jobs out of this country. God help us all.
I detest attorneys but the politicians are the lowest life form out there right now. They lie, cheat, steal, and strong arm people to get what they want. There are only a handful that I would vote for. I plan to work hard to see them voted out in 2010 so we can restore some sanity to this country. I hope a lot of NEW people rise up to run this country the way our founding fathers intended. I just hope it's not too late.
