I must admit that I find it hysterical that Karma has bitten Lane Kiffin right in the ass. After burning Tennessee after one mediocre season to go and coach for USC he is now incapable of playing in any bowl games and is losing a scholarships. Karma is a %$%#@#%

If the NCAA found that USC had violated recruitment and funding rules then I applaud them for throwing the book at the school. You cheat, you pay.

Rick, when will you understand that this is a website designed for people to give opinions? This isn't a college class, it's just a place to go and have some fun. I know all about the fujita scale and the new technology used in predicting and grading tornadoes. The bottom line is still the amount of damage and the kind of damage that is done. Storm chasers who see the tornadoes up close and personal often disagree with the numbers given by NOAA. It doesn't really matter anyway. I'm simply giving an opinion which I am allowed to do on this website without having it certified or backed up by anything. If you really believe I base my opinions on the opposite of yours then you are more egotistical than I thought. As far as making fun of people, I'm not the one comparing another adult to a 13 year old. Go back and read the announcement that Mr Kazinec wrote above and then lighten up so we can all go back to enjoying this website as it was intended.

Wikipedia routinely posts at the top of their articles that certain information may not be relied upon, but for the most part it is checked for factual reliability. I don't know what universities you are referring to because I have seen several students who attended at either UT and Maryville College who used these pages as source materials. Your professor may very well have not allowed YOU to use them, but that does not mean it was that particular university's policy. That is simply your opinion and indeed not a fact.

How a tornado is judged on the Fujita scale is no longer surveyed by the amount of damage any more. If you had ever taken the time to read any of the recent articles published by several different scientific websites or informational guides you'd have known that. Tornadoes are now gauged by several different factors, but most importantly by computers that take measurements using the advanced weather system known as Doppler Radar. Perhaps once again you should take the time to read before you make an argument which is again sadly enough, incorrect. I do not dismiss others simply because they are ignorant of the subject matter. I simply show them the correct information so they might see the truth, or have the better sense to read more about the subject they are discussing. My mind is always open and very broad in scope when it comes to understanding new ideas. The only true sign of a small mind my dear is that of someone who constantly defends a position for which they have no real knowledge or understanding because they choose to believe in opinion rather than the facts that are so readily available to them. I am not always right all the time. I freely admit when I am mistaken, and have not made fun of any one. I'm afraid that honor goes solely to you. I often use sarcasm as a way to get a point across, and nothing more. If you took that offensively then that is your own incorrect assumption. If you actually spent half your time genuinely trying to see fact instead of offering up opinions and half-truths as gospel, perhaps you’d spend less time believing that every discussion between us is a reason to argue in the first place. If I had posted a rivalry today you would have chosen the side opposite of me simply to do so. For no other reason than to disagree with me. That’s not logic, that’s just asinine. I however would have chosen the side that simply makes more sense or is more in line with my own beliefs whether they be political, religious, or otherwise. For someone your age I expected you to be more level-headed and mature, but yet so far you’ve only been content with showing how childish and immature someone can be by name-calling and blanket disagreement. I have a thirteen year old nephew who shows more maturity and composure, but in the interest of familiarities I will offer this. Let us agree to disagree.

markei I was demonstrating the fact that I'm not worried about another nation attacking us, but instead using one of those nations in order to acquire nuclear weapons with which to attack us. Please read all of the argument and not just the parts that catch your fancy. If we rid the world of the entirety of nuclear weapons then NO ONE will have access to them. That is my argument, and if you had actually taken the time to read and understand what my response was in reference to you'd have known that. We DO NOT agree. Massive FAIL. Try again.

markei please do not play ignorant to the real underlining question or topic here. We both know that Blago is in fact involved in one or more scandals, but the real question or topic is whether or not Obama played any role in either of the scandals. Do you really need to be shown the lines before you have the capacity to read between them? Let’s not be naïve about this. Did Obama play any part in either of the scandals that are now plaguing former Governor Rod Blagojevich? Does anyone have any proof? Probably not. So let’s all gather around the sewing circle to see what we can make up.

Sorry, I didn't read the intro fully, this is in fact about Blago, but the question here isn't about proof, but about the "arousal of curiousity" of whether or not Obama was involved in one scandal since he was ceratinly involved in several more along a similar vein.

  • markei - 6/10/10 @ 9:50 AM
Although the pic is of Blago, I thought this discussion was about Sestak and the others that have come forward to explain that the Obama Administration offered them jobs elsewhere to do their bidding and to help "fix" the political races in favor of his pet candidates. More and more info is leaking out, how many more will step forward before this scandal is done? The evidence already in the media(not what is being presented, but the previously aired interviews before the "scandal" - in the media archives if you will) has already shown that election law was broken, the question now is if anyone has the guts to take it any further, just like Al Gore when he broke campaign laws by using the White House for political purposes but he wasn't pursued after claiming ignorance of the law.

IMHO: If anyone is going to back up their statements, please don't EVER link to a Wikipedia article. ANYONE can write ANYTHING there, and it doesn't have to be supported by a SINGLE fact, although sometimes you can find a collection of links at the end of the article that may help to see what the article was built on. Universities will not accept Wiki articles as source material for college papers.

Back to the discussion at hand. I voted so I could comment, but I'm not sure what's correct. How often do we have earthquakes that knock the earth off its axis? That would mean that the length of our lunar day is constantly changing as well. Has this always been happening right along? I like to have solid facts, but sometimes the records are limited in scope and completeness and we just don't have all the facts to back it up, and all we're left with is a theory - better known as an opinion.
