I think they are both bad but teens drive too fast and are more likely to be impaired than elderly drivers. I think MOST elderly people stop driving on their own once they start slipping. Teens are so distracted and are more likely to pass in no passing zones, tail gate, and drive recklessly. Statistics show that teen drivers cause four times more accidents than drivers over 65. I'll take my chances with the old farts. At least they are usually driving slow when they hit you...
Both are bad drivers, but you are absolutely right mama kaz. Teens would have the upper hand in awareness if it weren't for all of the talking they do with the five other friends they're escorting, texting, or eating. An elderly man or woman may be too slow to avoid an accident, but at least they are mature enough to be watching out for the possibility in the first place.
I think both are bad drivers but I have to agree with Mr. Kazinec. Old people shouldn't be behind the wheel. I have been driving behind some of them that you would think are drunk.
Mr. K you are absoutely right.. My dad was taking meds, lost his memory, and drank. Not a good deal. I had DMV take away his license at 79 when he sat in the car for hours trying to figure out which key started his car. Very sad but I also know a grandma that should not be driving....
they are both bad. I remember how horrible a driver i was as a teenager because i was always distracted by someone or something. Ryan, however hit it right on the head with his comment above.
