I have no doubt we are much better off today than we were four years ago. I am very proud of President Obama and all that he has achieved so far. I am also quite happy with the overall direction he believes in taking this country. I have very few grievances/complaints where his administration is concerned. For example I don't believe someone should necessarily be fined for not carrying health insurance, though personally I don't understand why you would choose not to. Why is Guantanamo Bay still open? That is one of the few promises he has made that I'm still very upset about. While I can understand the military benefits of keeping the base open I am not the least bit happy about it still being open for the use of holding political prisoners. How can we honestly expect others to follow the example of a justice system that holds prisoners without due process of law? We must lead by example. Gitmo should be shut down for these purposes. It's not just. It's not right.
I am not totally without pessimism though. I am going to point a finger. I will point it the way of Congressional Republicans. Regardless of what anyone thinks of President Obama I call "shame" on these men and women who have deliberately stalled every effort of our government and President to fix the economy in the name of political games. It's one thing to wish failure on a President, but it's entirely another to be the cause of it. In the end it will come back to haunt them if they continue to play this bipartisan bullcrap in order to try to win an election.
It's hard not to be positive when such a money new feature is being tested with this comment. This new feature seems to be working great. Multibrowser test successful so far.
There is nothing wrong with striving for prosperity. I admit myself I am very competitive, and often strive to do better in all areas of my life. This includes wealth. Who wouldn't?
However, that being said, I often find that many who do attain a certain amount of wealth do not just use it to their own benefit. They often use it to their advantage to do more harm than good to our society. It is this type of person that I quite frequently find callous to the plight of many others in America who are not as fortunate as they. While there are those who are exceptions like Mr. Bill Gates who do so much for so many, there are those whose lack of compassion I find to be nothing less than despicable.
I did not go to college but did work in the only field that I was interested in for 20 years. I got to do everything I wanted to do and never had a problem getting or keeping a job. Many of the educated people who came on board didn't last because they were lacking in the skills that only come from doing the job.
Verizon is making a big mistake! Other companies will benefit from it as their customers will leave to seek unlimited data elsewhere. When will companies learn the value of keeping promises?
I don't understand this growinv attitude in this country that it's wrong to be rich. You don't get rich without long hours and hard work. If a person is willing to do that I respect and support their efforts. I could have done a lot more with my life but chose to concentrate on the things I love most which don't bring me wealth but do bring me joy. (Mothering and grandmothering) I have no regrets and no jealousy towards those who are willing to work harder than me and sacrifice their time in order to accomplish their goals.
Sure it does. If you go about your day hating the world thinking everyone is out to get you will certainly impede with your chances for succeeding at whatever it may be you're wanting to accomplish. If instead of being positive, you play the victim role you're much more likely to remain in the act instead of breaking free of your artificial chains.
If I did not have children to raise I would love to live in the city, however I do have children so therefor choose the county. I cannot live more than 20 minutes from a Target store.
