I agree, and I just thought of another thing Tennessee drivers do. Normally an onramp is used for the purpose of getting up to speed before entering the freeway. Not here, here they casually accelerate and often enter 70mph freeways at 40mph. I really wish I could reach into their cars and slap the heck out of them.
I think EVERYONE should have to have a driving test frequently. Or maybe we should start using our horns> "HONK IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY DRIVING" I'd be on mine all the time.
It's all cultural. When the Saddam statue came down..the Iraqy ppl were beating it with their shoes to show disrespect.
In the USA , the bird is our show of disrepect..eventho it is overused for the least little thing.
Hate the telemarketers. Of course I look at the caller ID and if I don't recognize the ID I just don't answer. Or sometimes I'll say "if I want what you are selling, I'll call you". I would hope (naively) lawyers would do their jobs competently.
Ripi, I'm afraid I do a lot of cussing in my car as well. You would think learning to drive in California I would have seen everything but these people in Tennessee CANNOT drive for $h&%. Out here people will pull out in front of you with absolutely no attempt to get up to speed. I'm talking 55 mph and higher zones. There are so many accidents because of these idiots.
Both is seems to me.The over-grown lawn should be mowed by the CEO of the mortgage co. The junkers should be in the garage. What's the damn garage for anyway ?
Don't get me started. I hope none of you above drive stupidly. Parking BETWEEN the lines is a peave of mine. But notice how they turn corners. Seems some folks are afraid to use the steering wheel..they think the shortest distance in a left-hand turn is diagonal across the intersection & just barely missing the stopped car at the red light. I simply have to close my eyes and not watch. You should hear me in my car cussing out the other drivers!@@#$. And "ooooching" thinking the light is gonna turn green.
The list goes on and on and on and on and on............
I'm coming up behind you Marv. I'm 64. Kids (active ones)have too much energy for me. I'd rather hear stories from my elders. But then again the elderly can pose problems too. I just had to go pick my 91 y/o mother up off the floor. All is well now but she skinned her forehead. But in general I like the history from them. They don't need to be entertained like the young'uns.
It certainly seems like we're all in the same boat. When it comes to employment we as the workforce have to be willing to be put up with more BS on the job, because we can no longer confidently say that we can easily move to another company.
I'm really curious to see if anyone is staying optimistic through this.
Of course we're all worried. So many people are getting laid off, getting less and less business perks, being treated like crap, having complete uncertainty of the future is nerve-racking. How are we NOT supposed to be worried?
Everybody I know is saving more, spending less and planning more an uncertain future. It sucks - especially this time of year when we should all be with our friends and family and having holiday cheer...
