I have a feeling my views on this topic may be in the minority, so to speak. Far too many skilled, productive workers are passed up because they're not a woman or minority. Skills, experience, and work history should be the PRIMARY factors when deciding whether or not to hire them, not their sex or race.

I think some of the responses are due to lowering of work ethic. Every company has a right to know if you are sitting in a restaurant for half the day or on the road doing your job, why not? After work hours, turn off the phone. It has to be a company provided phone for them to track you.
Production would go up if everyone knew they had to perform or be canned.

Big Mac is King of the Burgers. I do like the Italian Chicken sandwich from the BK Lounge though. And rings, gotta have those greasy rings...

Semantics, Dennis. Wealth redistribution is merely one of Obama's Socialist views. Socialism encompasses many things, Obama is a Socialist, meaning he holds Socialist views, not that he is a member of any club. His views are that the main problem in this country is Capitalism, which allows one person to have something better than another, never mind he worked twice as hard for it. If your neighbor has a swimming pool or a boat, that is unfair if you are unable to acquire the same thing, Obama made that clear during his campaign. His response to McCain calling him Socialist was not to refute it, but to explain himself. I can't find the exact quote on Google, but it went something like this: "They say I'm a Socialist, I'm just not one of those who go to the playground and refuse to share their lollipop." That describes a purely Socialist viewpoint in that context.

    1) Rush Limbaugh is an opinion show. He says a lot of things to make people talk about it, that's how he's the highest rated show in the nation. He doesn't report news or pretend to report news, it's a personal opinion, if you don't like it don't listen.
    2) On the other hand the National Media has everyone's ear and are reporting opinion as fact. I have heard many people repeat what they hear on the regular news as fact, and not believe it wasn't true until presented with the actual facts, and then they still were wary to oppose what they heard on their regular news channels.
Dangerous? Maybe. People who are lulled into just accepting what they hear without hearing facts, knowing that bias exists, is my concern.

Come on Dennis. A wedgie is chump change compared to being dunked in the toilet. This rivalry should be swirlie vs. teabagged or swirlie vs. the crack of doom.

I think it depends on the industry - they say in the software development industry, the one thing which returns the highest ROI in terms of worker productivity is their happiness, meaning they just plain produce better code.

This is why the Google offices have all the fricking bells and whistles
