I should also add that some of the things Palin has said are certainly fair game for scrutiny such as her definition of the role of the VP and her foreign affairs policy as you've mentioned before. Just as Sotomayor's comments regarding race and sex playing a role in a judges competency and her idea that judges make policy even though they're only supposed to interpret law.
I don't see an inconsistency. When have I ever attacked Obama on a personal level? Have I ever made horrible jokes about his family, like his two daughters for example? Even though I don't like Michelle, I never throw personal attacks her way. Neither does the media. That can't be said for Palin. She's been attacked in every aspect of her personal life from her down syndrome son to her teen daughters pregnancy. They aren't attacking her policies as I do Obama.
I've seen that article and think the whole thing is stupid. If someone is dumb enough to really worship anyone/anything, like Obama, Bush or the Republican party, that says something about them.
This is where I see some inconsistencies. You think some attacks on her are despicable, but you have no problem attacking Obama even when he isn't part of the subject. What's that all about? I'm not of the opinion that he does everything right, but he isn't all of our problems either.
Jeff, I've met you and you're far from what I would consider obese. You're not the size passenger that would irritate me. There are people as wide as they are tall that literally occupy all of one seat and portions of the two other seats.
In regards to an airline that caters to obese passengers it could be argued that most airlines already accommodate them; First Class seating. The reason airlines have narrow seats is a matter of profit per square foot. If the airline increased the size of the seats they would have to increase the price of tickets to make up for the profit per square foot being compromised. Therefore that's one of the reasons first class cost so much, that and the higher level of customer service.
Heres an Idea maybe they should make an airline just for Obese passenger! with wider seats so that the smaller world can travel in peace but I know which airline I would fly
For some reason I haven't been into sports lately. I used to watch the Sacramento Kings and San Francisco Giants religiously when I lived in California but have lost interest. I do enjoy watching the Vols play.
I wouldn't go that far myself. I like Palin and think the attacks she's received since being nominated for the VP role have been despicable. The question that concerns me is, If she was a liberal would she have been attacked or praised?
You probably aren't missing much. Most of their headlines are exactly the same as if the same writer is writing them. However, Peter King's column, Monday Morning Quarterback, is worth reading.
