I loved my job and enjoyed going to work every day but I enjoyed coming home even more. I was given an opportunity to go to med school but I didn't want to sacrifice my family to do it. I'm grateful to those who are willing to work those grueling hours to get a business going or to go into a field like medicine to help others but it's not for me. I'm so grateful to have a husband who was willing to go back to work after taking an early retirement and give me the opportunity to stay home and be a grandma! He is a workaholic and nearly lost his mind the 3 days we were snowed in but I still appreciate him!

Big amen! I don't drink, except when my friend Linda makes me one of her delicious margaritas a few times a year or someone opens a really good bottle of port wine, but I think if you are old enough to fight for your country you should be able to belt down a beer when you get the opportunity. I don't think the drinking age at 21 is stopping anyone from drinking but lowering it to 18 would mean younger and less mature people would be able to buy it for the even younger crowd. I think we need to continue to educate our teens and take them to the morgue every now and then to see what happens when you drink and drive.

If someone is willing to go into the military and save my ass then I shouldn't have a problem showering with their ass. I think most homosexual people are not going to approach anyone who doesn't seem interested in them because no one likes rejection. It's hard for heterosexuals to approach someone for the same reason. We're all just people living in the world together. Military personnel need to have every ones back, not just those who think and believe the way that they do. That's how they survive the miserable job they have to do for us! Let's just be grateful for every person who is willing to serve and be glad they are there regardless of where they bunk or shower.

Actually the only way to heaven is to believe that God loved all of us enough to let his only son die for us to cover our sins. No good works or anything else gets you there. You open the door and he jumps right in! It's that easy! Of course spreading Gods' word and doing good for others is a great thing to do. This messed up world needs a lot of that! And I still say animals will be there. Matthew 6:26 states how God cares enough for the birds to see that they have food. There are more but that's the only one I can remember off the top of my tired but happy head right now. I think God cares about every living thing in the amazing world we live in. I also think animals will be in heaven just like they were in the ark. I just hope Sammy (my cat) isn't mad at me for accidentally running over him....

While I'm not against the repeal of "Don't ask Don't Tell" I do think this is an extremely complicated issue which is difficult on many levels.

I don't however think it's absurd to think that troops should have the choice of who they shower with bare ass.
