I breastfed all three of mine. My oldest was the longest at 6 months, I only stopped because of having surgery. My second only 5 weeks because she could not tolerate my milk and my third for 8 weeks, I could not keep up with his appetite. If it would have worked I planned to and was comfortable with 12 months, no more than that and I sure the heck would not have my child lifting my shirt and asking for a drink. NO WAY!!!!
I breastfed my daughter until she was 6 months old and would have done it until she was at least 1 years old but I was working as a Store Manager 50 plus hours a week and it was very hard for me to keep up. Kids obviously have all of there teeth by 3 years old and like my daughter started getting them at only 6 months old. I could not imagine breastfeeding a child with teeth! I think its the best and healthiest thing for babies but there is a time to stop. When they can say "Mommy I'm hungry please pull your shirt up", its time to stop!
