I hate my job, but I'm keeping it.My job pays well and has good benefits. I could get fired (who knows), but I work in law enforcement and that catagory is not going away soon.The City is my boss, most city employees(paper pushers) get all the holidays,but my job in the JAIL is 24/7 so your lucky if a holiday falls on your days off. The City sent out Appreciation Letters to all empl.+ we get a longevity(bonus)check each Dec. I'd love to retire but SS says not til i'm 66. Oh @&@$% City is cutting back on amt of raises from 5% to 3%, and there is a hiring freeze in effect.
Been at this job for 6 years,guess i'll stand it a little while longer.
For some reason,crime is on the increase !!! Wonder why ?!!@#$

That's probably the biggest variable to this equation, job availability. A few months back I wouldn't have feared losing my job like I do now. Before there were plenty of other jobs around the corner and now there becoming scarce.
