An eye for an eye! In America it seems we smack people on the hand and tell them not to do it again and they just keep repeating the same crimes over and over again. I think it is time to start punishing harder - maybe it will make people think there are consequences to their actions!

In my experience with the exception of my husband, children, 1 aunt, and my grandmothers - I can rely on my good friends more. My friends are there for me through thick or thin. They will be there if I need to call them just to cry on someone shoulder. My family would tell me everything I am doing wrong if I tried to call them just to talk. I think my friends love me for me and my family loves me because they are stuck with me.

    There's no outcast label.
    What rights are stolen specifically?
Shouldn't the "greater good" be paramount here, as in most laws that remove certain individuals' rights?
    What about gun-owners' rights?
What about cell phone users in cars' rights?
    What about smokers' rights?
What about the right of restaurant owners to use the type of oils(such as trans-fat) in their cooking that they choose?
What about the ability to stop a crime before it's committed if you have foreknowledge? I know that's not a right but I think it should be.
What about the good samaritan who helps the bloody beat up aids carrier with no knowledge that he is bringing home a dangerous disease to his family?
I just see it as a "greater good" issue, not a usurpment of rights issue... and again... what specific rights?

This one made me laugh out loud.

I vote for Mr. Jackson because he is irrelevant and has accomplished very little - but not by his lack of effort.

Obama has accomplished also very little, but with very little effort. Stepped into a vacated Senate seat and one year later deserves a Presidential nomination? Beware - you're gonna get what you asked for...

And my car will be paid off by the government, and my mortgage, I won't have no bills, and my groceries and health care will be free! yay!!!
    Thank you Mr. Obama!

Oh wait, I never saw the part in there about my right to dissent being taken away... hey, did anybody else miss the part about a civilian military patrol on my street? What do you mean I can only leave the house at certain times of the day...for my protection? well...ok I guess I didn't really need that security system because everyone's cool now, right? Hey how come light bulbs are outlawed(this one's already true)? only the dangerous(disputed) mercury-filled kind will be available soon... Hey what if I like a lot of butter on my potatoes? That's my roast beef you're taking out of my refridgerator... Comic books? I can't read comic books? I guess I don't need em... I can't smoke cigarettes in my own house if I choose(this one's already true in some places, even if you own the home due to the close proximity of other homes - case in Colorado comes to mind in particular)?
I can only buy one loaf of bread this week... what about my kids lunches? what do you mean 3 kids is too many?

Ok, I could go on, but I think the point may(or may not) be made.

If you're a conspiracy theorist, or some would even say a realist, it's a purposeful manufactured indulgence to bring the economy and public opinion to a state where there is a "DIRE EMERGENCY" as our fearless President has bandied about so much lately.
This, so that any resolution will come quickly, without enough time for clear oversight, and a certain(Socialist) agenda can be put forth as a real solution to the CRISIS.
...I'm not saying these are necessarily my own thoughts, just things I've heard being said... :D
