I'd like to see the stats on that. Howard Stern is on Paid Satellite Radio while Limbaugh is simulcasted to hundreds of stations nationwide for free. I think it might be closer than you think.
I've never had a problem with the rich being rich but I do have a problem with being forced to give what I work for to those who choose not to work. Lets all remember that these "greedy' people pay most of our countries taxes and are the fuel that keeps the engine running. We are going to see how true this is as more of them high tail it out of the USA and take their money with them. I think we will all be wishing that these "greedy" people were still in their ivory towers showering us with their menial jobs and big tax revenue. Envy of greedy people can be bad too...
Please take the time to research the cap and trade bill. You will be shocked to discover what it entails. Listen to what Canadians say about social medicine because that's where we are headed. Why would doctors want to work for the government and have their income and work conditions set by them? We will lose the best practitioners and we'll all suffer as a result. We're being told that we can keep our private insurance but the truth is that government pay insurance will force private companies out of business because they won't be able to compete. Our dollar and our country are in serious trouble.
He may be theatrical and arrogant but he's got a following that is growing by the day. That makes him very relevant. People are listening to him because they are scared of whats happening to our country. There is no one in Washington who is answering the questions we all have so people have to look somewhere. At least Rush, and others like him, are keeping us informed of what is going on in the dark of the night. Our "transparent" government is no where to be seen. Thank God for people like Rush who have the guts to tell us the facts. Please take the time to check up on your legislators and see what they are doing.
We have a lot of scorpions up here on the mountain and they don't really bother me. I've been stung many times but it doesn't hurt much. Spiders can really make you suffer and they are just so creepy.
People forget that when one is of a minority, they can usually get back home and have the support of their family. If someone is getting beat up for being black, their siblings and parents understand what they are going through because they are black. If a Jewish child comes home crying because classmates made fun of them, the parents can understand that because they are Jewish as well.
Most gay children are not out to their parents/family and may get bullied at school but can't come home and get support from their family because their family is not in the minority group with them, so the child usually has no place to turn for support and comfort. Lots of gay adults are not out and have to still try to get through life without their family's support. Lots of gay adults ARE out and have to try to get through life without family support and understanding.
That is one reason gays call each other family. Some families may not love and care about their gay sons, daughters, uncles, mothers, etc. That makes gays rely on other gays and make a new "family". That's one reason gays want some sort of family recognition.
It just doesn't make sense to me that a straight person can't figure out why I have been with someone for almost 20 years and that I get mad that I can't have a recognized relationship with equal rights and benefits. How would a straight person feel to be with a loved one for 20 years and the government tells you you're a second class citizen and are considered a single person because the government doesn't recognize you as a couple?
