If you were Lane Kiffin who would you choose as the starting quarterback? Who would you bench? Knoxville Tennessee

I believe we have good days ahead, too. Just think it'll take a little while to be great again. They may not have beat FL but it wasn't a big shutout like many people thought it would be. I was proud of our Vols!

I loved Fulmer too Dolly Fan but I have to admit that Kiffin's style is growing on me. I loved it when he told the Gator's that he couldn't wait to sing Rocky Top all day long when we played them! I was very proud of our young team the way they went down there and made Florida look bad! I think we've got some more great days ahead this season and some really great days in the years to come.

I think Crompton will be the overall leader of the team this year. He needs to step up as the leader but we all know that good receivers getting themselves open and others doing a good job of blocking the opposing team from getting to him to avoid sacks.

I love the Vols and want a winning team but don't expect a great season under Kiffin in the first year of him as coach. Changes have been and will be made. Then we'll be back to a team with lots of talent and a winning record.

I do miss Fulmer, though.

GO VOLS!

Stephens does not crack under pressure. He at least will run the ball. Crompton always finds a way to loose the game for. Last year we lost many games/ coach because of him and now we have a good coaching staff. it was a real close battle for him and the better one lost. Crompton has always looked better in practice but Stephens performs better in games. I SAY GIVE HIM A SHOT AND LETS SEE.

GO VOLS!

I agree for the most part and after watching todays game something else became very apparent; our receivers are responsible for some of the blame for the offenses lack of success. I realize most, it not all of them are new but I didn't see too many wide open receivers down field.

I guess what it boils down to is that Crompton showed some false hope with the inadequate Western Kentucky team but he is the same Crompton he has always been and at this point it's pretty damn obvious it's not going to change. I don't envy Kiffin's position.

I think Crompton has the potential to be team leader. He does however seem to crack under pressure and that is something the team leader cannot do. I believe he deserves another chance, as stated above his performance against Western Kentucky was a seemingly different side of Crompton. I enjoyed seing him perform like that. He has to take what time on the green he is given and make the most of it. Not freak out and jump around like a scared bird. Next week I think will show us if we are going to see much more of Crompton.

The last thing we should do at this point is change quarterbacks. To be fair it seemed to me that there was some miscues between Crompton and his receivers. I would have loved to get the win but I thought it was a very entertaining game. With the exception of a few players, we have a very young team and we better all be patient or it's going to be a long year. My husband helped me put up a giant orange T in our front yard with orange lights. GO VOLS!

I'll be the first to tell you that I was very encouraged after Cromptons performance against Western Kentucky but his showing against UCLA was VERY disappointing.

Crompton went 13-26 for 93 yards, 3 interceptions, and sacked 3 times.

Something that really concerns me is it took him all of a quarter to actually behave like a team leader but even that didn't last. Finally, I saw a clip from a post game press conference and at no point (In that clip at least) did Crompton take any blame for the teams inadequate offense. A real leader would have taken the blame and vowed to make sure the mistakes wouldn't happen again. (Similar to Tebow of the Florida Gators and his vow to not lose another game last season). For the time being I'm sticking with Crompton but he really has to wake up and become something he's never been; A LEADER. If he has a poor showing next week against the Gators I don't think Kiffin has a choice but to go with Stephens. Lead the team Crompton!
