There are a lot of people who choose to tan indoors. Next weekend, we are moving our salon into space that is twice the size of our current salon! Will give us a lot more room for our purses, jewelry, sunglasses and other merchandise, too.

I would much rather lay in a tanning bed. It is private and so relaxing. I always fall asleep.

Had to go with natural never tried lamps before plus I dont know if I could lay in something that closes me in like that

I am highly claustrophobic and I can handle it. You don't have to shut it all the way.

A lot of people who try our beds, for the first time, believe they are too claustrophobic to use a tanning bed. After they try it and realize they have total control, they are totally fine with it.

Just about anything natural is better for you.

I love both but I get bored easily even laying indoors for 2o minutes so it's much easier for me to tan indoors. Tan skin looks so good too, not leather skin but just a good brown tan lol.

Actually, tanning under the sun and tanning in a booth (in moderation) are both not that terrible for you skin as long as you use lotion and are cautious.
In the sun-- your body benefits from moderate exposure to the sun.
"The sunshine vitamin may protect against a host of diseases, including osteoporosis, heart disease, and cancers of the breast, prostate, and colon. What's more, sunlight has other hidden benefits—like protecting against depression, insomnia, and an overactive immune system."

And tanning in a bed is often used to treat seasonal depression disorder and sometimes even acne! I know a lot of people find tanning in the bed relaxing even.

But, I prefer the sun because a bottle of sunscreen is much cheaper than a tanning package and you can lay out with friends in the sun.

Yes vitamin D is made in the body when the body gets UV rays from the sun or a tanning bed. Over 60% of the people living in North America have a vitamin D deficiency because the dermatologists and sunscreen companies use scare tactics to try and get people to avoid the sun. Well, it has scared so many over the past 20 years that now people are having health problems. Feel free to check out www.tanningtruth.com

The reasons you have stated for people really are some of the reasons people tan, even in winter. And many just tan at a salon because it's their 20 minutes away from phones, kids, etc. and they can just lay there and relax. I hear that all of the time.

I tan under both. I suggest, as a tanning salon owner, that people tan at a salon before tanning outdoors. In the salon, you're in a controlled environment where your minutes are set and you know when to get out. Tanning outdoors, so many people don't realize who much sun they are getting and may forget that they've been out under the sun for 2 hours and get burnt.

Tanning isn't necessarily bad for your skin. Using lotion and tanning in moderation is what should be done. And moisturizing should also be done.
