I think that at a proffesional level of sports there is too much talent and competition to worry about much sportsmanship. I know this sounds bad, but at this level, let the losers really feel the pain. The players have worked hard to get to where they make a lot of money. Let them enjoy the win!:)
I noticed how some of the Magic players sat down during the post-game celebration on Sunday. Even though I'm hyper competitive, there is a honorable way to play hard and lose. Dwight Howard, the best player on the Magic, sat there and watched how the winners celebrated. I'm sure he will use that as fuel and at 23 he has many years to win a championship of his own. If LeBron wasn't a media darling, this would still be in the news.
that was the worst thing LeBron could of done. Act like a KID and walk off after playing his hardest and trying his best. and the other team won, you have to give it to them. you can't be mad cause they won, if you did your best. i always things a good handshake after a hard game is good sportsmanship between both teams.
laboob.... is never going to have the class of a michael jordon.... most basketball player are not men I would want my children to emulate... multiple children by multiple mothers..... drugs alcohol.... shootings
Obviously, it shows good sportsmanship. I would imagine that's why it has been done all of these years. Makes you look like a loser to just walk off the field.
I have yet to see the video clip but let me tell you this was a low point for kind James. We're taught starting in pee-wee sport, little league, jr high, high school, and so on to be good sports.
I've always liked Lebron but this was disappointing.
LeBron James just left the arena after the Cavaliers lost the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday. I think it showed a lack of sportsmanship and class to leave without shaking the opposing players' hands and talking to the media. Doing things like this would get a kid sent home without their post-game juicy and cookie! Since LeBron is LeBron, he has seemingly got a pass from the national media, but it sends the wrong message to kids in every sport around the world.
