If I could afford a private school I would send my kids to private schools. The schools they are forced to go to with other military kids are bad enough.
private school kids sell drugs, and public school kids buy drugs.....private schools are nothing more than status symbols. public schools are there because they have to be.
Well i agree with the political issues within private institutions. However, the education quality is far superior. Without attending private school for so many years there's no way i would have graduated college after only making it to the tenth grade as I did. The public schools I attended were cesspools of drugs and public schools aren't free of political bs. Just look at Heritage High School in Maryville where some spoiled little brat got to park her Corvette in the fire lane because daddy (attorney) contributed to the school. I'd love to smack the father, daughter, and school for allowing that to happen.
I used to think private schools were better but there is something to be said for regulation in schools. Private schools have very little if any regulation so things can go on there that are very wrong and there's not a whole lot you can do about it. We sent our kids to private (Christian) school and it was not all good to say the very least. Some terrible things went on there that could have never happened in public schools. Their desire to win at sports was so all encompassing that they really crossed the line many times. My own kids were lied to by staff and promises were made and broken. If I had it to do over I would send my kids to public schools instead. ( I'm a christian which makes this even sadder....)
