Hawaii has already stopped their version of socialized medicine after just seven months because they couldn't afford it. Parents started dropping their kids private med coverage as soon as it became available. It comes down to sacrifice and responsibility. I went to work with an IV bag hanging over my desk during a long term illness just to keep my kids covered under my healthcare plan. Our government needs to stop enabling people to be irresponsible. I think we have too much government interference as it is...

i don't want the government telling me what doctor or hospital i have two go to.

I worked for doctors for twenty years and most of them said they would hang up their stetoscopes if socialized medicine comes to America. One of them, a brilliant peds surgeon, said he would go to plumbing school. Capping frivolous lawsuits would be a good start to fixing private medicine.

I don't think this would be fair. I do think everyone deserves medical attention but this isn't the answer.

I don't know what needs to be done but I do know socialized medicine is not the answer.

This rivalry was inspired by two ladies who were calmly bickering in Panera Bread this morning.
