Negotiating with Terrorists. Bad Idea

Worth it to free an American Soldier

Rivalry Side B | World | Conflicts

U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been released in an deal that allowed 5 Guantanamo prisoners to be released in exchange for the release of the Bowe. It's certainly great news that our soldier is free at last but is negotiating with terrorists a good idea even if it saves a life? It has to be asked, what if these detainees end up killing dozens of people? Was it worth it?

I'm really torn on this because I have a great deal of respect for all the men and women who serve in the military but these were bad guys.

Reading up on these guys makes it a more difficult call. These were really bad guys.

Unconfirmed but interesting story: http://www.ijreview.com/2014/06/143437-american-soldier-served-bowe-bergdahl-casts-doubt-official-story-fears-reprisal-obama-administration/
