On December 22nd, 2010 President Obama signed into law a bill that does away with the long standing “Don’t ask don’t tell”. Should heterosexual troops be able to choose whether they bunk or shower with homosexual troops of the same sex?

I dont care if someone is gay or not but there are some situations that would make things uncomfortable if someone was openly gay. some things are just better left alone.

I agree with mama kaz. Does it really matter where they stand as far as there sexuality when they are fighting for our freedom? I have not met one gay person that would do anything or even attempt to say anything to someone who is straight.

I wouldn't exactly call what the military does nowadays "fighting for your freedom". As for myself, having actually served, I can tell you that the last thing you need is a bunch of sexual deviants with power over their subordinates. Absolutely NO f a g g o t r y in the military! Side A Comment

If someone is willing to go into the military and save my ass then I shouldn't have a problem showering with their ass. I think most homosexual people are not going to approach anyone who doesn't seem interested in them because no one likes rejection. It's hard for heterosexuals to approach someone for the same reason. We're all just people living in the world together. Military personnel need to have every ones back, not just those who think and believe the way that they do. That's how they survive the miserable job they have to do for us! Let's just be grateful for every person who is willing to serve and be glad they are there regardless of where they bunk or shower.

While I'm not against the repeal of "Don't ask Don't Tell" I do think this is an extremely complicated issue which is difficult on many levels.
I don't however think it's absurd to think that troops should have the choice of who they shower with bare ass.
