1) Rush Limbaugh is an opinion show. He says a lot of things to make people talk about it, that's how he's the highest rated show in the nation. He doesn't report news or pretend to report news, it's a personal opinion, if you don't like it don't listen.
2) On the other hand the National Media has everyone's ear and are reporting opinion as fact. I have heard many people repeat what they hear on the regular news as fact, and not believe it wasn't true until presented with the actual facts, and then they still were wary to oppose what they heard on their regular news channels.
Dangerous? Maybe. People who are lulled into just accepting what they hear without hearing facts, knowing that bias exists, is my concern.

I agree that the meaning of liberal is not what it used to be. I used to be a liberal and a democrat and even worked on campaigns in high school. I used to cancel out my husbands vote every year but in the 90's I became disgusted with politics in general and didn't vote at all for awhile. 9/11 changed my life forever and gave me a different perspective. I started paying attention to what politicians were saying and doing and realized I had become a conservative. Now I'm not sure what they're doing either and I barely recognize the republican party either. I think they've all lost their minds.

"Liberal" as a brand has become tarnished in my eyes. It seems to be synonymous to socialist today so I do not think that the phrase "liberal media" applies - at least I hope not.

Regardless the media in general (I too excempt FoxNews) is damaging our country. The proof evident is that "journalists" are out to change the world rather than report and document it.

While I don't like the way Rush says things or the way he makes fun of people, I find myself going to him whenever things get screwed up. Love him or hate him, he is a very intelligent man. He said, long before 9/11, that the enemy wouldn't come from outside but from within. How right he was... The liberal media and Hollywood seem to run this country and that scares the heck out of me. If anyone handed the presidency to Obama it was the liberal media and all their rich and powerful friends. The sad truth is that the presidency and almost everything else in this country really can be bought.

I want to give a shout out to the conservative media! It's your homophobic, anti-abortion, war loving propaganda that handed the Presidency to a wait for it...black man. They couldn't have eff'd that up more!

While I find Rush Limbaugh disgusting, the media makes every issue more exaggerated than it really is, and by doing so distorts the truth. We hardly know the truth story on any given subject.
