Wow, Paula can sing? I guess Brittany Spears can sing too. After wading through the usual Obama hate, I couldn't believe this one.

Paula annoyed me. Love her to death, she's sweet as she can be, and can sing! However, as a judge, she annoyed me. Ellen on the other hand may not have technical merit in the music industry, BUT, she can listen in more like we can, and see the performance for what America would see it for - enjoyable or crap - period! I like that she has a "normal" view that can be voiced!

I completely agree. Surprisingly Simon has grown on me over the years and I'm not very confident that the show will go on(And Remain Successful) without him next year as I've heard he's out of contract and leaving.

I enjoy Ellen and her comments but don't understand why they would pick someone who has not music background. I miss Paula and Simon's interaction on the show.

I love Ellen but I definitely prefer Paula to Ellen. The bottom line is that Ellen doesn't sing (pleasantly), doesn't write music (Her staff may), and she has nothing to do with the music industry (Other than interviewing musicians).
Ellen should stick to comedy and Paula should stick to being the airhead American Idol Judge. IMO
