Kim Jong-un is a Real Threat

Rivalry Side B | World | Conflicts

North Korea has been slinging a lot of War Drumming rhetoric in the last couple of weeks. Are they a serious threat to the United States and our Allies?

He has inherited tremendous power while he is still too young to wield it properly. He reminds me of a six year old bully with a sawed off shotgun.

While I do not believe that North Korea is bluffing, I do NOT consider them a real threat. For the love of God they can't even get a missile more than a 100 feet off of the launch pad. The only real threat they pose is to themselves. Not to mention the firepower and technology for which the United States already possesses, and has since the early 1950's. With the advent of post 9/11 intelligence I don't believe North Korea will be planning any successful surprise attack any time soon. Entering war with North Korea would be the equivalent of a high school jock picking a fight with a 5 foot skinny freshman. Let's be a little realistic here, shall we?

Definitely a real threat. We don't need to be in another war, though, so I sure hope it doesn't come to that.
