Should new moms stay at home with their babies or should they be out working contributing to the household as well?

I personally dont see anything wrong with a Mom going right back to work. My children have been in day care for sometime now and develop pretty normally. Actually my oldest son didnt go to day care until 1st grade and he had the hardest time developing socially then the other to. Most of the time in a socially awkward, situation, or meeting new people he would run and hide. But if your a stay at home Mom more power to you but Just like cutie said, now a days its required that both parents work to make ends meet comfortably.

I changed my mind. It is so hard to go back to work and especially if you breastfeed. I would have loved to be with my baby at least a year or two before I went back. Its very hard when you work full time.

My opinion is only a mother can give her newborn child the love he or she needs in order to grow into a fulfilled, balanced and happy adult.Quality time just doesn't hack it. She needs to stay home at least until the child is in first grade.

Hmm...as my maternity leave comes to an end I am in the middle on this one. I feel like my baby needs me and it will be the hardest thing in the world to go back to work.

I think in an ideal situation moms could stay at home with their children but in our world today it almost takes both mom and dad to provide. I will soon go back to work and when I find myself feeling bad as a new mom I have to remember that I am providing for my baby and giving her a nice house and nice things while still being able to give all of my love every minute I am home.
