Do you think Julian Assange is a Hero or villain? Is his leaks on wikileaks a heroic way of exposing government corruption or an unlawful abuse of classified information?

This is a tough one! When I first heard about Assange. I thought we should hang him from the highest tree, but as it all began to unravel, and once again our government's dreadful policies are exposed, I can only say that 'something' needs to happen once in a while to make us aware of what our politicians are up to!
And always make your opinions heard; write to your congressmen/women and lay it on the line! That's the only way we can even hope for a responsible government.

I'm all for exposing government corruption but the way this guy is doing it is ridiculous. He is just looking for his 15 minutes of fame and doesn't care who he destroys in the process.

This will likely surprise some people but I'm not totally against what Julian is doing but by no means do I applaud him. This is one of those situations where I would take a middle ground if there was an option.

The bottom line is that this man and his website are exposing many things about the US and foreign governments that many thought to be true but were called fools and fear mongers when they made the claims. While I don't agree with his underlying mission, political ideology, and so on I do however think it's good that we see the truth about just how corrupt the governments of the world really are.
