Per my 1st post. I work in a jail, and I can tell you 1st hand that theft is on the rise. Particularly at Christmas time. Shoplifing=theft 50-500 with a min. bond of $500. Good way to spoil the holidays.

My husband belonged to a union (retail clerks in Sacramento to be exact...) and after 30+ years of loyalty to them they screwed us out of half the money we were promised at retirement. There has never really been an election for union president because when someone tries to run they get strong armed out by union people. The last president somehow handed it over to his son with no election. We were granted an arbitration and they hired a very expensive guy who does sports deals and he said to my husband just prior to the hearing, "Man, it must be nice to retire at your age..." We lost, big surprise. Oh well, I'd rather be in Tennessee broke than in California with money.

Best jobs would be in law enforcement. Crimes is still on the rise with this recession.
Ryan Kazinec - 12/12/08 @ 8:53 PM: Ally | Side A That is a very good point. The worse things get the more desperate people get. I'd say law enforcement would be a pretty secure job.
